DR. RYAN MONTI
Meet Your Valencia Dentist
“My favorite part of dentistry is when I finally have a breakthrough with phobic patients. So many people have anxieties related to dentistry, and so many of them think the they are the only one or that they are the worst. Setting expectations, working to make visits comfortable, answering questions and building trust all move us toward a point where dental care becomes routine. When a patient who initially had difficulty sitting in the office can come in and have a lighthearted conversation during a visit, we have changed their healthcare trajectory forever.”

Ryan Monti, DDS, is a general practice dentist who is passionate about providing the best comprehensive care possible while making his patients feel comfortable. Dr. Monti was born and raised in the Antelope Valley in Los Angeles County, California. He received his BS from the University of California, Los Angeles in Physiological Science, where he went on to receive his PhD in Physiological Science. Dr. Monti graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles’ School of Dentistry, where he received Outstanding Dental Student awards in the UCLA Division of Restorative Dentistry and the UCLA Division of Restorative Medicine. Dr. Monti completed his dental residency through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
Dr. Monti is also passionate about public health policy and was a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Postdoctoral Fellow. He serves his national and local communities as a delegate to both the American Dental Association (ADA) House of Delegates and the California Dental Association (CDA) House of Delegates, where he helps make decisions on dental policy and practice. He is also a member of the Task Force for Dental Licensure Evaluation.
Practicing general dentistry allows Dr. Monti to do many different things within the field, and he loves that every day is a fun challenge. He recognizes that many people are uncomfortable or even afraid of going to the dentist, and his goal is to help people reshape their views on dentistry. He is happiest when he helps an anxious patient overcome their phobia of the dentist.
Outside of the office, Dr. Monti enjoys getting outdoors with his wife, Amy, a pediatric dentist and owner of Adventure Dental, and his two children, who attend Valencia High School. Hiking, biking, rock climbing and skiing are just some of his favorite things to do with his family. You can also find Dr. Monti spending time with friends and cheering on his kids as they play sports.
