ORAL SURGERY PROCEDURES

Helping Patients Achieve Beautiful, Healthy Smiles

Our dentists are trained experts in all areas of dentistry, including dental surgery and periodontal surgeries. At Go Dental, we recognize that surgery can sometimes be the best treatment option.

Oral surgery

We are dedicated to helping patients feel as informed and comfortable as possible before, during and after the surgery. We utilize the latest dental technologies and surgical techniques for a seamless, efficient treatment experience.

Oral Surgery Options

At Go Dental, we offer a variety of oral surgery procedures to meet your specific needs. Our oral surgery options include:

EXTRACTIONS

Tooth extractions are one of the most common procedures that our doctors perform. You may need to have a tooth extracted due to disease, trauma to the mouth or crowding.

BONE REGENERATION

Bone regeneration, also known as a dental bone graft, is a procedure that adds bone density and volume in an area in which bone loss has occurred.

CONSERVATIVE SINUS LIFTS

Conservative sinus lifts are a type of bone regeneration surgery with the ultimate goal of stabilizing and supporting bones in the back teeth so that dental implants can be placed.

TORI REMOVAL

The torus is a small bone located in the roof of the mouth. Some patients may need to have the torus removed to make room for appliances or if it is impeding basic daily activities, such as eating or practicing good dental hygiene.

Things To Keep In Mind

If your dentist at Go Dental recommends an oral surgery procedure, there are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Discuss your medical history with your dentist: Oral surgeries often require certain medications, such as sedation, anesthetics and post-op antibiotics. Be sure to be transparent with your dentist about your medical history and allergies to avoid any complications.

  • Arrange a ride to and from your appointment: Many oral surgeries require patients to be sedated. Whether you need IV sedation or an oral sedative, it is important to arrange a ride to and from your appointment.

  • Carefully follow post-op instructions: The key to a successful oral surgery is diligently following post-op instructions. Because our dentists at Go Dental use dental lasers during many oral procedures, recovery time will be shorter than traditional procedures. However, you should still follow post-op instructions, such as watching what you eat, taking all directed medications and more. Your dentist will provide you with detailed instructions and is available to answer any questions you may have.
