After discussing your requirements for your veneers, we’ll make an impression of your teeth using our iTero digital scanner. Before placing a veneer, our dentist will first prepare the tooth by cleaning, polishing and etching the tooth. Etching roughens the tooth and makes the bonding process stronger. Your dentist may adjust and trim the shape of the veneers to achieve the perfect fit.

Once both you and your dentist are satisfied by the appearance, the materials are bonded to the tooth. The procedure usually only takes one visit to complete and is virtually painless. Soreness is possible and can be easily treated with over-the-counter pain medication. At your follow-up appointment, your dentist will ensure that the veneers are comfortably placed and functional.

Practice regular, healthy oral care as usual, such as brushing the teeth twice a day, flossing daily, rinsing with a mouthwash and visiting us for your routine dental checkups. We also recommend avoid consuming foods and drinks that often stain teeth such as red wine, coffee and using tobacco products. Additionally, make sure you grab those scissors to cut and tear products instead of using your teeth as that can damage your new veneers. The average lifespan of a veneer varies, but proper care can help them last for years to come.
